Hi!
My name is Anita Szymańska, welcome to my page.
I'm a multidisciplinary creator, working primarily in theatre both on and off stage.
I graduated from European Theatre Arts at Rose Bruford College in London in 2019 and since then I have been working as an actress for Film, TV and stage. Apart from my work as a performer I am involved in co-directing, dramaturgy and workshop leading. My show I Come to You River: Ophelia Fractured has been awarded The Best OFF at the 25th Shakespear Festival in Gdańsk and represented Poland on festivals in Spain and Turkey. Recently, I have been working as a dramaturg with director Partryk Warchoł. Our last performance МАТЬ | MATKA was awarded the Best Directing and Best Dramaturgy at the 13th Festival of Young Directing in Cracov.
I enjoy working in an ensemble as people are my main inspiration. At the moment I am developing my own practise and exploring voice as a medium to transpose emotions and tell stories. I am in the process of getting my degree in Liberal Arts at the University of Warsaw.
I care about sea turtles and I have a fig tattoed on my arm.
Thanks!
